  Specific Appliance Delivery Information:
How to prepare for your delivery.
REFRIGERATORS:
* An electrical outlet must be provided within reach of the refrigerator's cord.
* Please make sure that you measure the spot where you want your new refrigerator! Most new refrigerators are different sizes than ones made 10 years ago. Be extra careful to measure baseboards and height of cabinets above your refrigerator; and don't forget the space needed for a water line if you are getting an icemaker!
* If you have an icemaker, please make sure the water connection is shut off before our delivery people arrive.
* At times, your ice and water supply line may need to be replaced. If this is needed, usually an outside professional will need to complete this task, at an additional charge.

DISHWASHERS
* Dishwashers can be delivered, and your old one removed, providing that it has been disconnected from the water, drainage, and electrical connections, and it has been freed from walls, countertops, or floors. However, installation must be done by an outside source. CDS does not provide dishwasher installation.

DRYERS
* A 30-amp service must be within reach of a standard 4-foot dryer cord, provided with your new dryer.
* A 3-prong outlet must be provided. If the standard 3-prong outlet is not available, one may have to be installed, or another method of connection sought. This requires a licensed professional, and is not part of the services provided by CDS.
* Venting your new dryer to the outside, with metallic flexible duct, is now required in many states, by law; and plastic duct is now considered a fire hazard. CDS retailers will provide you with new, metallic duct, if desired, and install it, at an additional charge.
* Please be aware of the following for gas dryer installation:
* All new Gas appliances are required to have a new "flex line" installed when an appliance is changed. DeliverFirst can provide and hook up a new flex line at an additional charge.
* Please notify your Appliance Dealer or DeliverFirst if you require PROPANE or "bottled" gas. This requires a conversion on your product, as well as the purchase of an LP conversion kit. This is available at an additional charge.

ELECTRIC RANGES
* Electric ranges will be slid into place and the packing removed.
* The customer is responsible for leveling & installing any anti-tip bracket themselves.
* A new cord may be provided, installed and plugged in at an additional charge.
* A 3-prong outlet must be existing in order to connect your range within reach of the provided 4-foot range cord. If a 4-prong connection is required, cords are available at additional charge & you must notify DeliverFirst of that need at the time of scheduling.
* If existing range is either built in or not removable by sliding the product out, additional services may be required, including the use of an outside professional. DeliverFirst Agents are not responsible for removing ranges that are built in, hard wired (connected to a junction box), or connected to any "downdraft systems" or outside venting that may require removal.

GAS RANGES
* All new Gas appliances are required to have a new "flex line" installed when an appliance is changed. DeliverFirst can provide and hook up a new flex line at an additional charge.
* Please notify your Appliance Dealer or DeliverFirst if you require PROPANE or "bottled" gas. This requires a conversion on your product, as well as the purchase of an LP conversion kit. This is available at an additional charge.

WASHERS
* Your new washer will be set in place, leveled, and the hot and cold water inlets connected.
* The drain hose will also be installed, provided it reaches your drain outlet. Drain outlets must be within reach of the 4-foot drain hose provided. If additional drain hose is required, it must be acquired & installed by the customer or a plumber..
* Hot and cold water connections will be connected, providing the old connections are not corroded, and they are easily removable. If this is not the case, additional plumbing may need to be performed to hook up your machine, at an additional charge, or by an outside plumber.
* Please make sure your old washer is free of, water, oil or debris before removal. DeliverFirst is not responsible for old machines leaking oil or other substances in your home during removal.
* Make sure that there is a water shutoff valve accessible to installers so they may turn the water off prior to installation.
